The BitmapSource object, but also to function as storage for any further processing that may be applied as a result of some processing pipeline.type is use to not only store the initial values within a specified
Values from a BitmapSource are copied into objects of this type as Single data. This internal representation of the image is maintained throughout the processing pipeline and any number of successive applications of processing methods. This prevents the accumulation of discretization error which can adversely affect the quality of subsequent processing steps. When all processing is completed, a new BitmapSource object can be instantiated based on this processed data for viewing.
Input image data is always converted to linear tristimulus space (in the case of RGB) when stored. All subsequent processing operations will process this linear form of the image.
