FrequencyDomainUtilities DivideSpectra Method (FourierSpectrum, FourierSpectrum, FourierSpectrum)Industrial Strength, Scientific Grade
Divides (pointwise) one FourierSpectrum by another.

Namespace: PrecisionImage.FrequencyDomainProcessing
Assembly: PrecisionImage (in PrecisionImage.dll) Version: (

public void DivideSpectra(
	FourierSpectrum spectrum1,
	FourierSpectrum spectrum2,
	FourierSpectrum targetSpectrum

OnlineSystem ArgumentNullException Thrown when spectrum1, spectrum2 and/or targetSpectrum are null.
OnlineSystem ArgumentException Thrown when the dimensions of the FourierSpectrum arguments are not identical.

Use this method to divide (pointwise) one spectrum by another and retrieve the result. The spectrum to divide is contained in spectrum1, while the denominator spectrum is spectrum2. The result is stored in targetSpectrum. targetSpectrum can be the same object as spectrum1 or spectrum2, in which case the original values are overwritten by the result.

If the denominator is zero at a particular frequency, the result is assigned a value of zero.
